Remote Man Camp / Workforce Housing
Union has nearly 34,000 acres of forest and state land and almost no commercial lodging, so highway, forestry, and park crews need a camp placed beside the work. Remote workforce housing camps lead our Union rentals.

Union is 33 miles northeast of Hartford, with its town center the highest in eastern Connecticut at 1,015 feet. Roughly one-third of the town is state park land, so a storm or an outage on a town of 785 leaves few places for responders to sleep. A remote camp with sleepers, showers, and restrooms fills that gap.
24/7 Emergency Remote Man Camp Basecamp leasing in Union provides sleepers, showers, laundry, and restroom trailers on generator power.
Major History: The Last Town Settled East of the River
The first European settlement came in 1727, making Union the last Connecticut town east of the Connecticut River to be settled, and the first settler was James McNall of Ireland. The town incorporated in October 1734 and the name means union of lands. It was part of Windham County until Tolland County was formed on October 13, 1785. The village of Mashapaug lies at the state line. Highway and forestry contractors rent sleepers, combos, and laundry.
Union Situations Where Our Trailers Fit

Emergency line staffed 24/7. Tell us headcount, location, and utilities.
Renovation: A Small Town Hall and Fire House
A town of under 1,000 keeps its buildings small, and a volunteer fire department and town offices renovate in stages with little spare capacity. A restroom trailer for rent in Union covers plumbing downtime for a small crew or a public meeting.
Emergency Equipment Access in Union
Union is 33 miles northeast of Hartford, 67 miles southwest of Boston, and 153 miles northeast of New York City, with Interstate 84 climbing to 1,002 feet within town. Highway conditions shape delivery planning. These are public routes; our deliveries are scheduled around current conditions.
Forest and Park Gatherings
Bigelow Hollow State Park, Nipmuck State Forest, and the Mountain Laurel Sanctuary draw hikers and groups. Hosts rent restroom trailers, showers, and refrigerated trailers.
Union Weather and Site Planning
Union stands at about 1,000 feet in the uplands, so winter sites need heat and snow-clearing and summer sites need shade. A Remote Workforce Housing Shower Laundry Bunkbed Sleeper trailer in Union setup for crews can share water and wastewater.
Rental Options and Prices for Union
Our 20ft accommodation units start at an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days and $2,195 to $2,495 per unit for rentals of three months or more. Add a 20ft shower container (an estimated $3,995), a 20ft laundry container (an estimated $3,995), and a kitchen to complete a Union camp. Water tank trailers, greywater bladders, and generators serve sites with no utilities.
What Union Projects Need, Season by Season
Summer is hiking and forestry season. Fall is foliage and road work. Winter is snowy in the uplands. Spring is thaw and mud.
Who Rents Trailers in Union
Highway and forestry contractors rent sleepers, combos, and laundry. Park and event hosts rent restrooms and showers. Agencies rent basecamps.
Planning a Trailer Site in Union
Send us the address, dates, crew size, shift pattern, and a photo of the pad. For a remote camp we confirm electrical service, a water and waste plan, and a level pad on state or private land. Our Portland, Oregon hub delivers into Connecticut on request, and delivery is listed separately on the written quote. A written quote lists each unit and the delivery and setup.
Short-Term and Long-Term Leasing in Union
Short jobs and seasonal camps are priced differently from year-long leases. For Union, a 20ft accommodation unit is an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days, and the same unit is an estimated $2,195 to $2,495 for three months or more. Because the quote lists each unit separately, you can add a shower, laundry, or kitchen later without re-pricing the rest of the camp.
Permits and Site Considerations in Union
Temporary trailers in Union may need review by the town and state park officials. Roughly a third of the town is state park land, so we confirm who owns the pad before a unit moves. We help you identify what your site needs before delivery.
Delivery, Setup, and Pickup in Union
Before a truck leaves for Union, we walk through Interstate 84. Setup is about an hour for most units, about five hours for kitchens and dishwashing trailers, a few minutes for stairs, and four to six hours for ramps. Everything on a Tolland County job, from delivery to pickup, goes on a single schedule. One local detail: winter conditions can change timing, so we confirm conditions.
Power, Water, and Wastewater Planning in Union
Utilities decide what can go where in Union. Our shower containers list 120V/240V at 200 amps, laundry trailers 240V single phase at 200 amps, kitchens 220V single phase at 200 to 220 amps, and refrigerated trailers 220V at 40 to 60 amps. On a site without power or sewer we bring generator trailers, water tank trailers, and greywater bladders, and schedule the pump-outs.
The Highest Point of I-84
Interstate 84 reaches its highest elevation in Connecticut at 1,002 feet in Union. A highway project on a grade like that is a long-day, early-morning job, and a camp within minutes of the work saves hours of driving for a crew.
Thirty-Four Thousand Acres of Forest
Bigelow Hollow State Park, Nipmuck State Forest, parts of Yale-Myers Forest, and Hull Foresters add up to nearly 34,000 acres. Forestry and trail work parties here are far from motels, and a rented camp placed with the landowner permission serves them.
Scenario: An Interstate Grade Project
Imagine a paving and drainage contractor with a 24-person crew on a multi-week job on the I-84 grade. Twelve bunk bed sleepers with heat, two combination shower and restroom trailers, and a laundry trailer on a graveled pad, served weekly, would give the crew a base within minutes of the work. That is the remote workforce housing camp lease in Union we can quote from your dates, headcount, and site photo.
