Sleeper / Bunk Bed Trailers
Elgin has always been a mill and forest town, and the crews that work the woods and the mill need beds close to the job. Bunk bed sleepers lead our Elgin rentals for that reason.
See sleeper & bunk bed trailers models & specs →Elgin Emergencies in the Blue Mountains
Elgin sits where two mountain highways meet, and its history includes a washout of Ruckles Road that drove the town's founding in 1886. Snow, floods, and wildfire in the Blue Mountains still cut roads and power, and a town of 1,717 has little lodging for the crews that respond.
24/7 Emergency Remote Man Camp Basecamp leasing in Elgin provides sleepers, showers, laundry, and restroom trailers on generator power.
Major Industry: Timber and the Boise Cascade Mill
By 1887 the area had a sawmill, and between 1887 and 1908 it had 35 sawmills. A Boise Cascade mill continues in Elgin today. A railroad branch line from La Grande arrived in November 1890 and was extended to Wallowa and Joseph in 1908. Mill maintenance, forest projects, and log-haul road work bring crews who rent sleepers, showers, and laundry.

Renovation: The Opera House and City Hall
The Elgin Opera House, dedicated in 1912, is the city's best-known landmark and shares a view with City Hall. The city was incorporated on February 18, 1891. Historic buildings renovate in stages, and a restroom trailer or a mobile kitchen trailer for lease in Elgin keeps a venue or business running during work.
Emergency Equipment Access in Elgin
Oregon Routes 82 and 204 meet in Elgin, with La Grande to the south and the Wallowa Valley to the east. Mountain passes can close for snow, so we carry chains and confirm conditions before dispatch. These are public routes; our deliveries are scheduled around current conditions.
Opera House Events and Forest Recreation
The Opera House hosts shows and community events, and Jubilee Lake, 19 miles north in the Umatilla National Forest, draws campers and anglers in summer. Events and trailhead gatherings need restroom trailers and showers, and vendors rent refrigerated trailers for rent in Elgin.
Elgin Weather and Site Planning
Elgin has cold, snowy winters and warm summers. Winter sites need heat, tie-downs, and plowed access, and forest sites need defensible space around fuel. A Remote Workforce Housing Shower Laundry Bunkbed Sleeper trailer in Elgin setup for crews can share water and wastewater.
Rental Options and Prices for Elgin
Our 20ft accommodation units start at an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days and $2,195 to $2,495 per unit for rentals of three months or more. Shared bunk rooms suit labor crews, contractor layouts have fewer beds per room, and VIP units give supervisors a private room. A 20ft shower container is an estimated $3,995 and a 20ft laundry container an estimated $3,995, so a Elgin camp can be built one unit at a time.
What Elgin Projects Need, Season by Season
Summer is forest work, recreation, and fire season. Fall is hunting and mill maintenance. Winter brings snow and storm crews. Spring opens construction.
Who Rents Trailers in Elgin
Mill and forestry contractors rent sleepers, showers, and laundry. Fire crews rent camps. Utilities house crews after storms. Event and venue hosts rent restrooms and kitchens.
Planning a Trailer Site in Elgin
Send us the address, dates, headcount, and a photo of the pad. We plan power, water, and wastewater before the truck rolls and confirm winter access. A written quote lists each unit and the delivery and setup.
Short-Term and Long-Term Leasing in Elgin
Rentals in Elgin run weekly or monthly, and the rate falls as the term lengthens. A 20ft accommodation unit that starts at an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days is an estimated $2,195 to $2,495 per unit for three months or more, so a long Union County job costs less per unit than a short one. We quote delivery and setup separately, list every unit and its utility needs in writing, and extend a lease by the week or month if your schedule changes.
Permits and Site Considerations in Elgin
Temporary trailers in Elgin may need review by the city, Union County, or the Forest Service. National Forest land has its own rules, and food-service units fall under county environmental health. We help you identify what your site needs before delivery.
Delivery, Setup, and Pickup in Elgin
Deliveries in Elgin are planned around Oregon Routes 82 and 204 and the forest roads north of town. Most units are set within about an hour of placement, kitchens and dishwashing trailers take about five hours, stairs take 5 to 15 minutes, and ramps four to six hours. For Union County jobs we send one schedule for delivery, setup, servicing, and pickup. A note that matters here: mountain passes can close for snow, so we carry chains and confirm conditions before dispatch.
Power, Water, and Wastewater Planning in Elgin
Every unit has utility needs, and the quote lists them: shower containers list 120V/240V service at 200 amps, laundry trailers 240V single phase at 200 amps, kitchens 220V single phase at 200 to 220 amps, and refrigerated trailers 220V at 40 to 60 amps. If a Elgin site has no hookups, we supply generator trailers, water tank trailers, and greywater bladders with scheduled pump-outs, sized to the connected units.
Scenario: A Mill Maintenance Shutdown
Imagine a mill shutdown that brings in forty extra contractors for three weeks. Eight sleeper trailers, a shower container, a laundry trailer, and a kitchen with refrigeration on a lot beside the mill would keep the crew rested and the shutdown on schedule. That is the sleeper trailer lease in Elgin we can plan from your headcount.
