Remote Man Camp / Workforce Housing
Edgartown is a historic harbor town on an island, with few places for a visiting crew to stay, so utility, marine, and building contractors need a camp on the island with them. Remote workforce housing camps lead our Edgartown rentals.

Edgartown is a harbor town on an island, and a storm or a ferry outage can cut it off from the mainland supply line. A remote camp with sleepers, showers, and restrooms gives responders a place to sleep that does not use the limited rooms.
24/7 Emergency Remote Man Camp Basecamp leasing in Edgartown provides sleepers, showers, laundry, and restroom trailers on generator power.
Major History: Great Harbor to Edgar Towne
In 1642 Rev. Thomas Mayhew Jr. led a group of families to start a colony on the island. Originally called Great Harbor, it was incorporated on July 8, 1671, as Edgar Towne, one of the two original towns on Martha Vineyard along with Tisbury. Edgartown was one of the primary ports of the whaling industry in the 1800s, and captains built grand mansions with widow walks. Contractors rent sleepers, combos, and laundry near the work.

Renovation: Captains Houses on Water Street
Water Street along the harbor holds many Captains Homes, and the growth of the population over the past 25 years has led to a period of intense renewal of these old houses. A bunk bed sleeper for lease in Edgartown houses a restoration crew that travels in for a season.
Emergency Equipment Access in Edgartown
Edgartown includes Chappaquiddick Island, a peninsula accessible by ferry, and the town is the island county seat. Ferry space shapes delivery planning. These are public routes; our deliveries are scheduled around current conditions.
Yachting Events and Summer Visits
Today Edgartown hosts yachting events around its large harbor and is a summer and tourist destination. Hosts rent restroom trailers, showers, and refrigerated trailers.
Edgartown Weather and Site Planning
Edgartown is a harbor town on an island, so pads need tie-downs and drainage, and summer sites need cooling. A Remote Workforce Housing Shower Laundry Bunkbed Sleeper trailer in Edgartown setup for crews can share water and wastewater.

What Edgartown Projects Need, Season by Season

Planning a Trailer Site in Edgartown
Send us the address, dates, crew size, ferry date, and a photo of the pad. For a remote camp we confirm electrical service, water and waste plans, and a level pad, and we book the ferry or barge with you. Our Portland, Oregon hub delivers into Massachusetts on request, and delivery is listed separately on the written quote. A written quote lists each unit and the delivery and setup.
Short-Term and Long-Term Leasing in Edgartown
Short jobs and seasonal camps are priced differently from year-long leases. For Edgartown, a 20ft accommodation unit is an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days, and the same unit is an estimated $2,195 to $2,495 for three months or more. Because the quote lists each unit separately, you can add a shower, laundry, or kitchen later without re-pricing the rest of the camp.
Permits and Site Considerations in Edgartown
Temporary trailers in Edgartown may need review by the town and the historic district officials. Historic harbor streets may have added review, and we check the parcel with you. We help you identify what your site needs before delivery.
Delivery, Setup, and Pickup in Edgartown
Before a truck leaves for Edgartown, we walk through the island roads. Setup is about an hour for most units, about five hours for kitchens and dishwashing trailers, a few minutes for stairs, and four to six hours for ramps. Everything on a Dukes County job, from delivery to pickup, goes on a single schedule. One local detail: ferry schedules can change timing, so we confirm conditions.
Power, Water, and Wastewater Planning in Edgartown
Utilities decide what can go where in Edgartown. Our shower containers list 120V/240V at 200 amps, laundry trailers 240V single phase at 200 amps, kitchens 220V single phase at 200 to 220 amps, and refrigerated trailers 220V at 40 to 60 amps. On a site without power or sewer we bring generator trailers, water tank trailers, and greywater bladders, and schedule the pump-outs.
Widow Walks and Chimney Fires
The legend says wives watched for ships from widow walks, but there is little evidence for it, and these top-floor rooms were often built around the chimney so a household could pour sand on a burning chimney. The practical lesson is the same for a camp: fire safety and access come first, and we keep units clear of old structures.
A Colony Started by a Missionary
The younger Mayhew began his work as the first church-planting Protestant missionary after settling in Edgartown, with a Wampanoag partner named Hiacoomes. A town that grew from such an early settlement has old, narrow lanes and tight lots, so we measure the lane before a unit is moved in.
Scenario: An Island Restoration Season
Imagine a restoration contractor with an 18-person crew working on several waterfront houses over a full season. Nine bunk bed sleepers with heat, two combination shower and restroom trailers, and a laundry trailer on a graveled lot, served weekly, would give the crew a base on the island. That is the remote workforce housing camp lease in Edgartown we can quote from your dates, headcount, and site photo.
