Planning a Trailer Site in Petersburg
Send us the address, dates, crew size and shift pattern, and a photo of the pad. For a remote camp we confirm road grade, turnaround room, power, and a level pad before delivery. Our Portland, Oregon hub delivers into West Virginia on request, and delivery is listed separately on the written quote. A written quote lists each unit and the delivery and setup.
Short-Term and Long-Term Leasing in Petersburg
Rentals in Petersburg run weekly or monthly, and the rate falls as the term lengthens. A 20ft accommodation unit that starts at an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days is an estimated $2,195 to $2,495 per unit for three months or more, so a long Grant County job costs less per unit than a short one. We quote delivery and setup separately, list every unit and its utility needs in writing, and extend a lease by the week or month if your schedule changes.
Permits and Site Considerations in Petersburg
Temporary trailers in Petersburg may need review by the city or Grant County. Rural parcels can involve county review, and food-service units are reviewed by health officials. We help you identify what your site needs before delivery.
Delivery, Setup, and Pickup in Petersburg
Deliveries in Petersburg are planned around the mountain roads of Grant County. Most units are set within about an hour of placement, kitchens and dishwashing trailers take about five hours, stairs take 5 to 15 minutes, and ramps four to six hours. For Grant County jobs we send one schedule for delivery, setup, servicing, and pickup. A note that matters here: winter weather can change timing, so we confirm conditions.
Power, Water, and Wastewater Planning in Petersburg
Every unit has utility needs, and the quote lists them: shower containers list 120V/240V service at 200 amps, laundry trailers 240V single phase at 200 amps, kitchens 220V single phase at 200 to 220 amps, and refrigerated trailers 220V at 40 to 60 amps. If a Petersburg site has no hookups, we supply generator trailers, water tank trailers, and greywater bladders with scheduled pump-outs, sized to the connected units.
A Store That Became a Town
Jacob Peterson ran the first store in the area, and the town grew up around his shelves. Most remote towns start with a single supply point. A crew camp works the same way: a pad, a few trailers, and everything within reach, which keeps a project efficient.
The Middle of the Country, Once
The 1830 census placed the population center of the United States about nine miles southwest of town. Settlement has long moved on, but the hills here are still a crossroads for roads and lines running between the valleys. Crews on those jobs rent bunk bed sleepers and showers staged near the right-of-way.
Scenario: A Power Line Rebuild
Imagine a utility contractor with a 30-person crew rebuilding a transmission line through the hills for six weeks. Fifteen bunk bed sleepers with heat, three combination shower and restroom trailers, a laundry trailer, and a mobile kitchen on a pad near the staging yard, served daily, would support the work. That is the remote workforce housing lease in Petersburg we can plan from your headcount.
