Grand Marais is a harbor-and-arts town on the North Shore that fills with visitors, and festival and workshop meals are the work a kitchen does. Mobile kitchen trailers lead our Grand Marais rentals.

On April 13, 2020, a large fire swept through downtown Grand Marais in intense winds, burning for more than three hours and destroying three buildings. Wildfire, lake-effect storms, blizzards, and long outages can still disrupt a city of 1,337, and a mobile kitchen trailer, restrooms, and sleepers support crews that respond.
24/7 Emergency Remote Man Camp Basecamp leasing in Grand Marais provides sleepers, showers, laundry, and restroom trailers on generator power.
Major History: A Fur Trade Harbor
The area was a bustling fur trading station in the 1700s, and French Canadian voyageurs named the village Grand Marais, meaning Great Marsh, for the marsh at the head of the bay. The Ojibwe name means great duplicate water for the two bays that form the harbor. Highway, harbor, and utility contractors rent sleepers, combos, and laundry near the work.

Renovation: Rebuilding Downtown After the Fire
The Crooked Spoon Cafe, White Pine North, and Picnic and Pine were lost in the 2020 downtown fire, and rebuilding followed, along with ordinary renovation of art galleries and schools. A restroom trailer covers plumbing downtime, and a mobile kitchen trailer for lease in Grand Marais keeps a site serving during work.
Emergency Equipment Access in Grand Marais
Grand Marais sits on the northwestern shore of Lake Superior, with the Gunflint Trail beginning here and the Superior Hiking Trail nearby. Lake weather and visitor weekends shape delivery planning. These are public routes; our deliveries are scheduled around current conditions.
Art Colony and Folk School Season
The city is home to the Grand Marais Art Colony and the North House Folk School, and the Superior Hiking Trail and Judge C. R. Magney State Park draw hikers. Hosts and schools rent restroom trailers, showers, and refrigerated trailers for rent in Grand Marais.
Grand Marais Weather and Site Planning
Grand Marais has cool summers moderated by the lake and cold, snowy winters. Winter sites need heat and tie-downs. A Remote Workforce Housing Shower Laundry Bunkbed Sleeper trailer in Grand Marais setup for crews can share water and wastewater.

Planning a Trailer Site in Grand Marais
Send us the address, dates, guest or meal count, and a photo of the pad. For a kitchen we confirm water, drain, gas or electric, and a clear pad before delivery. Our Portland, Oregon hub delivers into Minnesota on request, and delivery is listed separately on the written quote. A written quote lists each unit and the delivery and setup.
Short-Term and Long-Term Leasing in Grand Marais
Most Grand Marais customers start with a week or a month and extend as the work runs. Longer terms are cheaper per unit: a 20ft accommodation unit is an estimated $2,995 for 1 to 6 days and an estimated $2,195 to $2,495 for three months or more. If your Cook County project slips, tell us and we adjust the lease rather than pulling units. Delivery, setup, and pickup are quoted on their own line.
Permits and Site Considerations in Grand Marais
Temporary trailers in Grand Marais may need review by the city or Cook County. Sites near the harbor or state park involve the managing agency, and food-service units are reviewed by health officials. We help you identify what your site needs before delivery.
Delivery, Setup, and Pickup in Grand Marais
Our crew plans each Grand Marais delivery around Highway 61 and the Gunflint Trail. Plan on about an hour to set most units, about five hours for a kitchen or dish trailer, 5 to 15 minutes for stairs, and four to six hours for ramps. You get one schedule covering delivery, setup, servicing, and pickup in Cook County. Worth knowing: lake weather and visitor weekends can change timing, so we carry chains.
Power, Water, and Wastewater Planning in Grand Marais
Tell us what is on site in Grand Marais and we match the plan to it. Shower containers need 120V/240V at 200 amps, laundry trailers 240V single phase at 200 amps, kitchens 220V single phase at 200 to 220 amps, and refrigerated trailers 220V at 40 to 60 amps. Where there are no hookups, generator trailers, water tanks, and greywater bladders with scheduled pump-outs make the camp self-sufficient.
Three Hours of Wind and Fire
The 2020 downtown fire burned for over three hours in intense winds, a reminder that wind-driven fire can take a block fast. A recovery needs temporary kitchens for displaced restaurants and restrooms for rebuilding crews. We place units on approved lots near the burned blocks and service them through the rebuild.
Two Bays and a Bluff
The harbor sits between two bays with Sawtooth Bluff and Pincushion Mountain rising behind, a landscape that draws photographers and hikers. Crowds in a small harbor town strain restrooms and kitchens. A pair of event trailers on an approved lot near the harbor lifts capacity for peak weekends.
Scenario: A Folk School Festival
Imagine a summer festival weekend with a crowd filling the harbor. A 28ft mobile kitchen for volunteer meals, restroom trailers near the waterfront, and a refrigerated trailer for vendors, serviced midday, would support the weekend. That is the mobile kitchen trailer lease in Grand Marais we can plan from the organizer estimate.
